Case of Reschke Rufus The Bull, Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
Rufus The Bull
With no reference to the English Monarch, King William II, the Australian Red Kangaroo, nor of course Red Bull (who tried to oppose the use of our bull logo) ..........Rufus (Italian for red) was a beloved Hereford bull from the Reschke stud, drunk with character and over-flowing with personality, he paraded like one of the family.
The same soils which Rufus presided, now produce an ideal canvas for some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon in the country. Coonawarra's climate, combined with Reschke's commitment to no chemical insecticides or systemic sprays, produce the most rewarding parcels of estate grown fruit. With some unhurried maturation in older French oak barrels, the resultant wine is an elegant, fruit driven style, however like all Reschke Cabernet's it will age beautifully if cellared with care.
