Wines - Empyrean 2002
Empyrean 2002

Latin for the highest sphere in which the purest elements of life exist

Empyrean

Entirely worthy of its namesake, the Empyrean is the flagship of the Reschke range and is only produced in limited quantities from exceptional vintages. Only the most magnificent fruit from Reschke's oldest low yielding vines is utilized in the Empyrean. Vinified using traditional fermentation techniques with subsequent malolactic fermentation and maturation completed in the finest, tightly grained French oak barriques, the Empyrean is a classic example of Coonawarra Cabernet. Aged a minimum of three years before release it is a distinguished and powerful wine that will cellar for up to 20 years.
